Patsy Cline

Born Virginia Patterson Hensley, Patsie married and took the married name Cline as her own. When she divorced and married Charlie Dick, her music career was well underway by that point. She kept the name Cline even unto her death by tragic airplane crash on March 5th, 1963. Born the same day (date) as legendary writer Harlan Howard and Jimmy Rogers - September 8th. While she only recorded just slighty more than 100 sides for Four Star and Decca records, and her career spanned fewer than 4 years, she remains one of the most influential woman in country music, even today.
